Preliminary Task - Miss Georgiou

In my group we have 4 members, Hannah Mahoney, Josh Lester, Harry Hyett and Luke Durrance. The preliminary task helped us as we learnt about camera angle shots and got to practice different ones while me and Harry had a simple one minute conversation. This helped as we could see which camera shots would be effective  for each different scene in our opening sequence. It helped us get a small idea of different shots we would be doing and gave us practice before we start our opening sequence. We also had to edit the clip after and cut out all our faults and put all the different clips together to make our minute long sequence this also helped as we learnt how to edit our different clips and fit them all together so we are prepared for our opening sequence.

We learnt which shots were most effective and learnt that we should do an over the shoulder angle when the person is speaking. We also learnt that the people speaking should never look at the camera man when in a conversation which i had trouble with. This preliminary task really helped our group as we got to learn all different aspects of editing and filming which would help us with our opening sequence

  1. This post demonstrates a basic understanding of why you carried out the preliminary task and this is because you have not explored the strengths and weaknesses in enough detail, which makes this post weak and basic.

Refer back to the class notes, which will assist you with making the necessary changes to this post. Also aim to include your preliminary task, within this post.
